Community Ambassador, Colorado
Listed June 2, 2026 and accepting applications until closed (anticipated mid-late June)
About Us
For roughly 500,000 years, humans have been burning stuff to heat our homes, burning stuff to light our homes, and burning stuff to power our machines. It’s 2026, people. Let’s change that.
Right now, homes account for roughly 20% of the world’s carbon emissions. Here at Elephant Energy, we know that there is a better way. As a certified B Corp, we are committed to building a one-stop shop that makes it easy to upgrade to a climate-friendly home. We enable homeowners to confidently make the switch to modern, electric technologies and get their homes off of fossil fuels – all at once, or over time.
Location: This position requires in-person work in Broomfield and local travel across the Denver metro.

About the Role
Elephant Energy is launching a Community Ambassador Program designed to introduce college students and young professionals to the world of beneficial electrification while strengthening the neighborhoods we serve. This program offers a flexible, paid opportunity for students who are interested in community engagement, grassroots outreach, and climate solutions. Ambassadors gain real-world exposure to the growing electrification industry while helping bring education and resources directly into their local communities.
At Elephant Energy, we believe our work should leave communities better than we found them. This program is built on that belief. Our goal is to create approachable, diverse education teams who can connect with neighbors, share knowledge, and help people understand how electrification can improve comfort, reduce costs, and benefit the climate.
Community Ambassadors are local representatives who help build relationships between Elephant Energy and the neighborhoods we serve. This work is focused on community education, outreach, and neighborhood engagement, not traditional sales. Ambassadors help introduce homeowners to electrification through conversations, events, and storytelling. Ambassadors typically work in the communities where they live or attend school.
Responsibilities may include:
- Supporting neighborhood events that highlight local heat pump installations
- Connecting with existing Elephant Energy customers and helping celebrate their electrification journey
- Helping organize small community gatherings at local restaurants or neighborhood spaces
- Using our template for outreach and organizing social media promotion
- Greeting guests and facilitating conversations at community education events
- Partnering with local organizations, sustainability clubs, and community groups
- Sharing information about electrification and helping neighbors book consultations if they’re interested
- Building relationships with local small businesses and community leaders
A typical event might involve partnering with a recent customer who installed a heat pump, hosting a small gathering at a neighborhood restaurant, and inviting neighbors to learn about the experience in a relaxed, welcoming environment. The primary goal is to drive cost-effective leads that turn into sold electrification projects. Secondarily, there are many benefits that align with our values in bringing neighbors together, sharing real stories, and making electrification approachable and accessible.
Compensation
- $20 per hour for ambassador work.
- Flexible scheduling based on events and outreach opportunities.
- Mileage reimbursement for travel beyond 15 miles.
- Ambassadors also earn performance bonuses for helping connect interested homeowners with consultation opportunities which are typically $/every future-scheduled and $/every immediate home comfort consultation with one of Elephant’s Home Comfort Advisors.
- Each event is designed to highlight real homeowner experiences, bring neighbors together, support local small businesses, create welcoming spaces to learn about electrification that includes marketing, printing, canvassing.
Training & Development
Before beginning outreach, ambassadors participate in a two-day training program designed to build both technical understanding and practical skills. This training gives ambassadors a strong foundation while allowing them to explore career paths across climate, clean energy, and home electrification.
Training includes:
- Soft skills for community engagement
- The basics of beneficial electrification
- Introduction to heat pump technology
