Elephant Energy is offering discounted heat pump water heaters to local Burbank Water & Power homeowners
If your water heater is aging out or you've been putting off going electric, there's now a Burbank-specific program that makes the switch significantly cheaper — and a lot less hassle.
What is it? Elephant Energy is running a Group Purchasing Program exclusively for Burbank Water & Power customers. Instead of paying full price and chasing a rebate later, the $1,500 BWP incentive is applied directly to your invoice at checkout. Nothing to file. No reimbursement to wait for.
What does it cost? Systems start at $4,800 post-rebate — that's equipment, installation, permits, and inspection. Both 120V plug-in models and 220V options are available. And if 10 or more Burbank households sign up, everyone gets an extra $150 off automatically.
Why heat pump? Heat pump water heaters are 2–4x more efficient than traditional gas or electric resistance units. They move heat rather than generate it, which means dramatically lower energy bills and no on-site combustion which improves indoor air quality — and is a meaningful step toward Burbank's 2030 clean energy goals.
What do homeowners say?
Excellent experience with Elephant Energy — can't recommend them highly enough. They gave us the clearest (and best) pricing of all the estimates we got, communicated proactively at every stage, and were clearly on top of every detail around how to design and install a heat pump system correctly — unlike other teams we spoke to who were new to it. It was honestly our best experience working with a contractor in 10 years of home ownership.
